Every three years, the GEF/UNDP/IMO PEMSEA conducts the East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress, a pioneering region-wide platform for capacity-building, strategic action and cooperation for the sustainable management and development for the regions seas. The congress brings together government ministers and high-level officials; heads of regional, international and non-governmental organizations; experts; and private sector/civil society representatives for comprehensive forums, plenary sessions, workshops and seminars.
