What is the Drug and alcohol policy?
Use of drugs, alcohol and substances of dependence are strictly forbidden. Any infringement WILL result in return to Australia and involvement of the appropriate legal authorities. Anybody offered drugs from any person whilst on tour or at the Venture should report the matter immediately to their leader or contingent headquarters. Youth members. You will be detained at the Venture HQ until you can be transferred back to Australia at your parents expense. Adult members The contingent Leader will request you to immediately submit your resignation to your Branch and make your own way back to Australia at your own expense. A SMOKE FREE policy has been adopted for this event. All reservations for flights, buses and trains have been made on a non-smoking basis. As The Scout Association of Australia supports smoke free environments your Australian Contingent Headquarters, troop sites and leader accommodation areas are similarly designated as smoke free zones.
Consuming or possessing alcohol on state-owned property (which includes the entire campus as well as the residence halls) is prohibited even if a person is of legal age.
