What is the difference beween WG-8 and WG-6 arrays?
WG-8 stands for Whole Genome-8, which has 8 arrays per slide. Each WG-8 array contains all of the RefSeq database curated content: about 24,000 genes are represented. The WG-6 arrays are more comprehensive, containing all of the ReSeq content as well as probes for 24,000 additional gene candidates: a total of 48,000 different probes on each array.
