What is the difference between the year-round calendar and the traditional calendar?
The year-round calendar has 175 instructional days and the traditional calendar has 180 instructional days. The year-round school year begins in July and non-school days are distributed throughout the year. Generally, the year-round calendar follows a schedule of 60 days of school followed by 20 days of vacation. Specific dates are available at each school and at the school district office. The traditional calendar begins in September and continues through June with a summer vacation period.
