This is when you go to File->Export from gradebook, and transfer all of your files to a centralized location. From that location Management Information Services (MIS) is able to retrieve those grades. The term “export” usually refers to the transfer of a given file in a format that can be used by a different application. The term is correctly applied our case since MIS uses other software in conjunction with IG Pro for the reporting of grades. The term “upload” is usually used to indicate the sending or transferring of files. Upload means to send files, while download means to receive files. Whenever you save your gradebook, you will momentarily see a message that says “uploading to server” while it stores the most recent information.
