What is the difference between accreditation, certification, and registration?
Accreditation is used to verify the conformance of an independent registrar (also called a certification body) or an auditor training-course provider to the requirements of national and/or international criteria. Internationally, the terms registration and certification are used interchangeably to refer to verifying the conformance of an organization’s management systems to a standard or other requirements. Certification also refers to the process of validating and verifying the credentials of individuals, including auditors.
