What is the difference between a deliverables-based contract and a services-based (A&AS) contract?
CBRNIAC is a deliverables-based contract that produces new Scientific and Technical Information (STI). It is not a level-of-effort, services-type contract like A&AS or SETA; therefore, TATs do not provide FTEs for onsite support, advice, or represent the government agency. TATs provide valuable R&D subject matter experts (SMEs) who deliver products to the CBRN Defense technical community in the form of reports, knowledge management databases, and SME analysis. TATs expand access to and increase the usability of the CBRNIAC information base, provide a means to develop specialized information collections, foster awareness of the importance of CBRN Defense information, improve the capabilities of U.S. forces, and acquire CBRN Defense information. By using the CBRNIAC contract vehicle, you are agreeing to submit the deliverables created under your TAT to the CBRNIAC to be added to the DTIC database.
