What is the deadline for registering to vote?
You must register to vote by the 15th day before an election in order to be eligible to vote. If you register or reregister at least 29 days prior to the election, you will receive a Sample Ballot in the mail from your county election office; if you register between 29 and 15 days prior to the election, you will receive a Sample Ballot only if the county has time to process your registration before mailing the Sample Ballots. Extra Sample Ballots will be available at all polling places. Your registration form must be signed, dated and postmarked by the registration deadline.
