What is the blue sock?
The blue sock is a little “badge” used to identify fellow knit listers. There is actually some interesting history (real history, not the list history) behind the blue sock, available at: • http://www.woolworks.org/bluesock.html It’s usually worn like a pin on your shirt. There is no set pattern for the sock — it just has to be blue. Some patterns that have been used are baby booties and miniature socks — really, you can use whatever you wish.
