got a haircut, want to grow an afro, and found this Attain a wide toothed comb or pick to comb through the hair during growth to prevent breakage. Smaller combs break hair follicles and impede healthy strands from flourishing.

detangling comb. You should still go over it after using the detangling comb with a finer tooth comb because a det. comb will not seperate every strand of hair which will ultimately lead to tangles and breakage.
