What is the best treatment for sunburn?
Treatment of a sunburn varies according to the severity of the burn. A mild to moderately sever burn is treated with cool tap water of saline compresses for 15 to 20 minutes, three to four times a day. Because the involved skin is often very dry, a moisturizing lotion may be applied. Acetaminophen is recommended to relieve the discomfort of the burn for several days. Call your doctor if the burn is severe (blisters), or if there is a fever. Drink plenty of fluids.
