The best paid jobs in I.T. are- if you become self-employed My son has done this , starts off as doing repairs, upgrades etc from home He now has his own shop, does web design, has many major contracts in his own business , employs staff and makes very good money He says he would never work for anyone else except himself as he now has his own house as well.
best paid job in IT is running the IT company never, never, never go into a job on salary alone – you will be bitterly disappointed – go into a job for interest and passion. note – in the IT world the rates etc change dramatically every few years – so you could go into a high paid sector – only to find that when qualified another ‘sector’ is worth more. up and coming areas are bio computing – mobile services etc 8 years ago they said that java was dead and cold-fusion was the thing to do – how wrong most were!
