What is Sync feature?
The Sync feature lets you match the contents of your IBackup Professional account to exactly the same as that on your My Computer for the selected files/folders existing on your IBackup Professional account. This is a very useful option if you have been backing up regularly, and now you have cleared up some data on your computer and wish to clear the same on IBackup Professional account as well as to bring them in sync. However, we recommend you to use this feature carefully only after you completely understand how the sync feature works.
The Sync feature in IBackup for Windows lets you match the contents of My IBackup exactly same as the contents of My Computer for the selected folders on My IBackup side. In other words the data residing on your local computer and your backed up data will be in sync. This is a useful option if you have been backing up regularly, and now you have cleared up some data on your desktop and wish to clear the same on My IBackup side as well and bring them in sync. Please note that the Sync functionality works only if the data has been transferred using the Mirror option since it requires full path of the source maintained on destination side for proper syncing.
