What is speed limiting?
An email will be sent to you advising when you have used 75% of the data on your selected plan for this month stating that if you use any additional data above your current plan, you will be speed limited to the equivalent of a dial up connection. If you are speed limited, your modem will automatically disconnect to apply the new speed. If the tick box “Reconnect automatically” on the Wireless Broadband Modem Status Monitor is checked, your modem will automatically reconnect at the new speed. If you are speed limited, on your anniversary date this speed limiting will be removed. This will happen soon after midnight. Your modem will automatically disconnect and when it reconnects it will be at the normal Wireless broadband download speed. Alternatively, if you would like to upgrade your plan, you can do this via the My Account page “Change Plan” or by calling our Woosh Contact Centre on 0800 4 WOOSH (0800 4 96674).

You will stay connected to your Optus DSL Broadband service for the remainder of the month and will be able to use email, surf sites and download information – just at the slower speed. Data Usage and Data Allowance are measured in Megabytes (MB) and for all purposes 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1000 Megabytes (MB). Unused Data Allowance in any month can not be rolled into subsequent months. Optus ‘yes’ Fusion: With Optus ‘yes’ Fusion plans any additional data usage over your plan’s standard data allowance will be considered excess usage and will be charged to your account at a rate of $0.15 per MB (megabyte) until you reach 2GB (approx $300 in excess usage charges), after which you will be speed limited to 64kbps on the 2Gb and 7Gb plan or 128kbps on the 20Gb plan until the
