What is right sizing?
Right sizing is optimizing the number of staff with the number of students and responsibilities. Over the last five years, Yorktown’s enrollment has decreased by 325 students while the staff increased 30 positions. The District has had an obligation to be fiscally responsible and to bring these numbers in alignment and make them proportional to the size and functioning of the schools.
