What is Quick TASP?
Quick TASP is an official TASP test. It is used to fulfill all TASP testing requirements as mandated by the State of Texas. The “quick” in Quick TASP refers to the increased number of test dates available and the speed with which the test is scored. Why was Quick TASP developed? Effective beginning the Fall semester of 1998, the TASP test is required for all students prior to attempting any collge-level course. Furthermore, students who have earned fewer than nine hours of college credit prior to the Fall 1998 are also required to take the TASP test before attempting additional college-level courses. Changes in the TASP law will significantly increase the demand for this test. Quick TASP was developed in anticipation of this demand. When Is the Quick TASP Offered?
