Some types of plastic explosive include C4 (US Military issue,) SemTex (Chezch plastique that is the most stable in the world and the kind preferred by most of your terrorists,) as well as some of the homemade stuff you can cook up with desiel fuel, vaseline and some other stuff. Manufactured from Acetone, Hydrochloric Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide it is very very very easy to manufacture. TATP does NOT require a blasting cap or similar charge because it is a Primary Explosive. TATP is hydroscopic (absorbs water) and will stabilize itself. It is not shock sensitive (compared to nitroglycerine) after being exposed to normal atmosphere for a few hours.
