What is placenta previa totalis?
It means that the placenta covers your cervix entirely. It’s a rare condition but it happens; typically the placenta does not even touch the cervix, it’s well off to one side. Unfortunately this means you will need a c-section, 100%. A vaginal delivery is very unsafe under these conditions. Your doctor will tell you that if you’ve got the condition, and he will monitor you very closely if you do to make sure you and baby are OK.
