What is PEARL* for angina relief?
PEARL is an acronym for Port Enabled Angina Relief with Laser for minimally invasive cardiac surgery. It is the name Cardiogenesis has given to its endoscopic laser revascularization therapy delivery systems including the PEARL 5.0 delivery system for robotically assisted minimally invasive surgery (FDA Approved) and the PEARL 8.0* delivery system for thoracoscopic cardiac surgery. The PEARL products allow physicians to perform TMR through small incisions in the chest wall. It is hope that the current US clinical trial will demonstrate the same Clinical benefits as traditional TMR but with a significantly reduced patient recovery time and hospital stay.
