What is Novanet Express?
Novanet Express is a document delivery service enabling you to borrow from other Novanet libraries. Requested items are normally received within two to three business days. Notification of arrival is sent by email or phone. Pick up at the CBU Library Circulation Desk. What do you need to do? ● obtain your CBU ID card ● register with Novanet; this is done at the Cape Breton University Library Circulation Desk ● have your Novanet record updated each year (Circulation Desk) Requesting an item using Novanet Express 1) Search the Novanet catalogue to locate the item you want to borrow. 2) Ensure the item is available for loan; it must be labeled General Loan and at least one copy must be in the library. For example, look for a fraction reading 1/0. This tells you one copy is available for lending purposes. A fraction reading 1/1 indicates the item is on loan and not available for Novanet Express. 3) Click: lending library name in column Copies Owned/Out. 4) Click: Place a Hold or Request a
