What is NICP?
National Initiative for Child Protection (NICP) is a campaign initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment through National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) and Childline India Foundation. “To every child a childhood” is the vision of NICP. It hopes to achieve this by facilitating a clear understanding of Child Rights and Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2000 among the members of allied systems, NGOs and others. NISD carries out intensive training and capacity building of different levels of functionaries working under juvenile justice system in the country. 33.
