What is maintenance mode?
Maintenance mode allows the site administrator to take the SiteX site offline to perform upgrades, testing, etc. without allowing access to the site. The site will only be viewable by a user with type ‘Site Admin’ who is currently logged in. If you are not logged in, you can proceed to login.php which is enabled regardless of maintenance mode. This will allow you to login even while maintenance mode is on. When you are ready for your site to be available to the public, simply turn this off. SiteX is automatically disables this upon install.
