This is a finishing plaster used as a final skim internally. We supply three grades of lime plaster – 2/1, 3/2 or 1/1 which are the ratios of a fine sand to mature lime putty. The 2/1 grade is suitable for plastering onto haired coarse float coats, the 3/2 is better for feathering into existing plasterwork and the 1/1 is appropriate for matching the finest historic finishes.

Lime Plaster is Plaster made from Lime Putty and Sand, as opposed to modern plasters which contain cement or gypsum. It is a breathable material and comes in a range of mixes dependant on application. Base coat plaster is usually the same as Mortar Mix, which is 3 parts aggregates & 1 part putty. Finish Coat is a 1:1 or 2:1 mix with putty as the 1 part and a fine sand as the 1 or 2 part of the mix. 1:1 produces a very smooth finish. 2:1 produces a more grainy finish.
