What is L. casei? Is it dairy-free?
Lactobacillus is a bacteria found in humans. Lactobacillus is more effective than many other bacteria in surviving the passage through the gastrointestinal tract and helps to balance the intestinal microflora. Lactobacillus has been proven to resist and fight potential pathogens such as E.coli, streptococci, clostridia and salmonella. L. casei strains of the Lactobacillus species are found naturally in fermented vegetables, milk and meat, as well as in the intestine, the human mouth and the environment.
