IGBO, an international gay bowling organization, provides educational services, communication avenues, and social opportunities to promote the sport of bowling and to enrich lives of individuals through leagues and tournaments worldwide. Membership into IGBO is by invitation only. There are three voting membership classifications in IGBO: League – A gay/lesbian bowling league. (Currently League Membership – over 170); Tournament – A gay/lesbian bowling tournament (Currently Tournament Membership – over 60); and Organization – A group of gay/lesbian bowling leagues and/or tournaments. There are three (3) non-voting membership classifications: Associate; Lifetime Associate; and Individual.
