What is ICEM Surf?
ICEM Surf is the ideal CAD Software tool for all free-form surfacing tasks and visualisation. It is intensively used in the automotive industry to design car bodies and interior parts. Although specialised in automotive Class A surfacing, the range of applications also includes manifold surfacing tasks in automotive body-in-white and press tool design as well as Industrial Design of consumer goods and high-end visualisation with newly developed realtime rendering technology. Surface quality checks and manufacturing feasibility issues are addressed with various static and dynamic surface diagnostics. ICEM Surf excels in the area of reverse engineering with robust functionality to painlessly handle the input of digitised physical models in a fraction of the time required by other systems. ICEM Surf includes direct interfaces to Pro/ENGINEER and CDRS and also offers a variety of direct interfaces to major CAD/CAM systems like CADDS, I-DEAS Master Series, CATIA, Unigraphics, and AutoForm.
