What is Guided Reading?
Guided Reading is an extremely important part of our day where Mrs. Jones (my teaching partner) and I meet with small groups of students at our tables. The purpose is to guide children to become independent readers. Children are grouped into "Book Clubs" by developmental levels. Membership in guided reading groups change throughout the year as children progress from beginning to skilled readers.
