What is Finger Lakes SAILS?
Finger Lakes SAILS, a Thompson Health program, stands for Seniors Accessing In-Home Living Services. The program helps you remain safely and comfortably in your home by helping you make decisions and providing referrals for housekeepers, handymen, contractors, in-home aides and other service providers you can hire. SAILS screens all of its vendors to make sure they are honest, dependable and insured. SAILS also helps you find the exact help you need and make changes as needed. How does it work? First, SAILS offers an initial consultation and assigns a care coordinator to visit your home. A social worker evaluates your physical, psychological and social needs. The social worker then refers you to programs and services geared for your needs. SAILS staff stay in contact with you to make sure you are getting what you need. What services does it offer?
