What is FCR (Formal Conflict Resolution)?

0

Formal Conflict Resolution (FCR) refers to the structured and formalized procedures the University has established to respond to behaviors which are inconsistent with the values of the University community. These approaches are on the right side of our spectrum of resolution options. Accessing Formal Conflict Resolution requires the submission of a written complaint alleging a violation of the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities. If a submitted complaint is determined to be supported and viable under the Statement, the accused student (“the respondent”) has the following FCR options: Acceptance of Responsibility (and entering into an agreement) or resolution via an Arbitration Hearing. FCR may result in a student record for the respondent. Learn more about Formal Conflict Resolution on our FCR page, by reviewing the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities or by contacting OSCR.
