What is Duplication vs. Replication?
• DVD duplication is similar to “burning” CD-Rs on a computer with a CD recorder. You must have a DVD recorder drive and software to duplicate DVDs. At Advanced Media Integration, your DVDs will go through a top-of-the-line auto loading system process and the format used is called a DVD-R. PLEASE NOTE: DVD-Rs play in most but not all manufactured DVD players. We can accept DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and DVD+R DL discs as masters, but we prefer to output to DVD-R because it is the most compatible with standalone DVD players and DVD-ROM drives. • DVD replication (and CD replication for that matter) is a manufacturing process of stamping similar to “cookie cutting.” A glass master (which acts like a “cookie cutter”), is created from the customer’s supplied media and used to press the digital information to make the DVD replicas (or “cookies”). DVD replication is used for higher volume orders of at least 1000. DVD replicated discs can play in virtually all players and in all PCs with a DVD-ROM dri
