What is disconnected mode?
IMAP email programs that support disconnected mode allow you to save a copy of your IMAP mailbox on your local system, disconnect from the network, perform any message functions that would normally be done while connected (e.g., save, delete, reply, send). Then when you reconnect, all actions are synchronized between the local and remote IMAP mailboxes. Be aware that some email programs that claim to support disconnected mode may not support all of its features.
If the license key type is Floating and it is applied to a main license server, the students can point to the main server and obtain a key. If they choose to use the product at home, they can use Disconnected Mode, which would allow the student to check out a key from the server and run that product key for 72 hours. When 72 hours have expired, they would need to re-connect to the license server again to obtain a key.
