DHR is proposing to change the way that children who are in the custody of the state are provided mental and behavioral health services. Currently, children who are in the custody of the State that need behavioral or mental health services are placed in the Level of Care System of Placement in the private sector. Providers are currently paid a per diem based on the level of need of the child.
