What is crossfading?
Crossfading smoothes out the transition between tracks so that one song fades in as the other one is fading out. It’s configurable in Player Settings in the SlimServer web interface, including the length of time you want the fade to occur over, whether you just want to fade in to tracks, or fade out of them, fade out and in, or to combine the two and crossfade. Squeezebox intelligently applies crossfading only when tracks are shuffled or randomized, not when playing tracks sequentially from the same album.
