What is Consumer Welfare Fund?
Consumer Welfare Fund is a Fund created by the Government under Section 12 C of the Central Excise Act,1944. Any refundable amount, if found that duty incidence was passed on to the buyer /consumer by the refund claimant, would be credited to the Fund. The Fund is used for the welfare measures of the consumers. 10. Who has to prove that the duty incidence was not passed on to the buyer/consumer?
