What is commitment night?
Our theme as a camp since 1960 has been Finding Gods Purpose for My Life. All of our programs and activities are built around the idea of helping each camper explore the truth that God loves him or her deeply. Commitment night is held during the Thursday night campfire and is designed to provide an opportunity for each camper to solidify where he or she is at in his or her relationship with God. After a summary of the message of salvation by grace through faith in Christ by the Bible teacher, campers are dismissed with the choice to join one of three groups. Each group is facilitated by at least two trained staff members and they include 1) those who are satisfied with their relationship with God, either because they have already committed their life to Christ or are not ready to take that step, 2) those who have made a commitment to Christ at some point in the past but wish to re-commit and dig deeper in their relationship with God, and 3) those who would like to ask Jesus Christ to b
