What is Cholim List Manager©?
Cholim List Manager© is a unique and effective way to keep track of and share names of cholim (individuals who are ill) for the Misheberach L’Cholim (prayer for the sick) that is recited on Shabbat and at other times during the week. Each congregant maintains his/her own list on a weekly basis. For shuls that say a centralized Misheberach (i.e. where the Gabbai recites all names), CLM is a great way to ensure that the list of cholim is always current. Each Friday (and erev Yom Tov), the Gabbai or shul administrator can print out an aggregate list of cholim submitted by all of the shul’s congregants. This reduces or eliminates what is often a lengthy queue at the bimah. After the Gabbai has recited all of the names on the list, he can then accept additional names from those present. In order to accommodate various minhagim (customs), the Gabbai or administrator has the option of printing a single list of all cholim or separate lists for male and female cholim, respectively. For those wh
