What is Chartering?
The Chartering program was begun years back when I investigated what were the most common reasons for a roleplaying-oriented Dream to fall apart. I discovered that the #1 reason was that the Dream’s owner often didn’t communicate accurately what the Dream was intended to be. Furres would join, optimistically imagining the Dream would fit their personal vision, only to find out different a week later. To prevent these misunderstandings, and to stabilize RP Dreams, I put up a Chartering form (now defunct but you’re welcome to read it). All Chartered Dreams were required to put up a web page answering all these questions. As a reward, Chartered Dreams were given a link from the official Furcadia web page. I usually had to email the Rah (Dream’s owner) requesting they clarify this or that. It took approximately 45 minutes to Charter one Dream.
