What is Bounce Handling?
A bounce is an email that cannot be delivered to the intended destination. These can occur for a variety of reasons, but in most cases a notice will be sent back to the sender, via the Return Path email header, indicating the failure. In large mailing list you can expect to have many bounces especially if your list is old, or collected using online forms. Having so many bounces returned can easily become unmanageable, flooding your inbox. MailMaster can manage the undeliverable mail and if you choose, can even remove these addresses from your database. To use the Bounce Handling feature you will need to set up a bounce POP account on your mail server. This needs to be an actual email account, not an alias to an existing account. This is the email account to where the bounce messages will be delivered, freeing up your in box.
