IN few months, probably from May 2008, a new version with body identification technology embedded in Pan cards called BIOmetric pan cards will be available for those who wish to apply for the same. It is practically impossible to be duplicated, is safe & more advanced. We will offer this card no sooner Income tax Department opens it officially to all, somewhere in May 2008.
