A. There are a number of steps that you should take: • Make sure that you wear suitable clothing and footwear. They must be clean and free from animal muck both when you arrive at market and when you leave. Remember that your footwear must be robust because you will have to cleanse and disinfect it every time you leave the animal area. You will also have to make sure that your clothing is clean when you have been in the animal area. You should consider wearing either waterproof clothing that can be cleansed and disinfected or protective clothing that can be removed (or disposed of, if disposable).
