What Is Atrovent Inhalation Solution?
Atrovent® inhalation solution (ipratropium bromide inhalation solution) is a prescription medication used to prevent airway spasms (also known as bronchospasms) caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD includes both chronic bronchitis and emphysema. This form of Atrovent is inhaled using a nebulizer (a device that changes liquid medications into fine droplets that are inhaled into the lungs). Atrovent also comes in an inhaler (Atrovent HFA) and a nasal spray (Atrovent nasal spray).
