What is Aqua Fitness?
Aqua Fitness classes provide a great workout for those interested in improving muscle tone, strength, flexibility, endurance and losing weight. People with arthritis, injured athletes and surgery patients may also benefit from these classes. Shallow water exercise permits non-swimmers to take part without the need to aquire new skills. Deep water exercise permits those wanting a more challenging workout to enjoy the pool. Who can participate? Aqua Fitness classes are designed primarily for teens and adults, however, mature children may participate as well. What types of equipment will be used? Instructors will incorporate various pieces of equipment into their workouts such as hand buoys, water belts, stretch bands and noodles. You may bring your own equipment to use in the classes.
