What Is An O Ring/Stand-off Ring And When Should I Use One?

An ‘O’ ring or standoff ring is a small, flat plastic washer type disk which is threaded onto the Craft ROBO blade holder prior to mounting it into the blade housing on your machine. Its function is to compensate for pressure when using the carrier sheet. The rings are usually included in new carrier sheet packs, but replacements can also be cut from suitable card using a template. The ring is only needed with the original (blue lidded) version of the Craft Robo: it is not used either with the Pro or the current CRII, which has been modified to work without one.
