WHAT IS AN INTERNATIONAL COMPUTER DRIVING LICENCE?
The ICDL is proof of your ability to use a computer and its most popular Computer applications. Candidates have to pass tests in following seven modules • Concepts of IT • Using a Computer and Managing Files • Word-processing • Spreadsheets • Databases • Presentation Tools • Information and Communication WHO SETS THE STANDARDS? The European Union commissioned the Council for European Informatics Professionals (CEPIS) to set the standards for the ICDL. GETTING YOUR ICDL IS SIMPLE (It is not easy, but it is simple) Obtain an ICDL Skills Log Book from CPL Training & Testing Center Get the training from your favourite CPL Training Center and pass the seven tests (one for each module). Each test you pass is stamped in your Skills Log Book. Validity: Tests to be completed over the period of three years Once you have passed all seven modules, send your Skills Log Book to the ICDL office your International Computer Driving Licence will be issued without any further costs.
