What is an Interactive Video Conferencing Course?
An Interactive-video-conference course has regular scheduled on-campus class meetings (meets every week) just like a traditional course at HCC. Students from up to three (3) locations are all meeting at the same time. The instructor is physically located at only 1 location and the class is broadcast via live interactive video conferencing equipment to the other 2 locations. The 2 other locations have an academic assistant present to insure that the technical needs are met. The students at the distance locations interact with the instructor via the video conferencing equipment. The instructor and the students (at all locations) can communicate with each other. They can see and hear all locations.
