What is an anagen cycle?
The hair grows in stages or cycles called anagen catagen and telogen. The anagen hair is active and is attached to the blood supply and growing whilst the other two stages are in various stages of shedding and resting. Only the follicle containing an anagen hair can be effectively destroyed during a treatment. Which is why you have a course of treatment to catch and destroy all the follicles in their turn that are currently producing hair in the anagen phase The Soprano laser destroys the follicles containing the pigmented anagen hairs permanently.
