The Air Waybill is an Air Freight consignment note. It acts as a receipt for the goods and is evidence of the contract between the seller and the carrier. It accompanies the consignment allowing fast clearance on arrival at the destination airport. Prepared by the Airline and made out by consignor or agent, required to act as a receipt for goods, a contract of carriage and a delivery note.
