What is Agra famous for?
Hmmm….The taj Mahal looms large in Agra.I visited this ethereal monument sometime back when I was in India. So you can say the Taj Mahal is what makes Agra famous. But more than the marble beauty…..Agra is famous for love…..because where would have been the Taj had Shah Jahan not loved Mumtaj, his queen….The effort and years he put in to give the world this wonderful monument is a telling picture of the love that overflowed….I read his story…Ahhh…touching…..you may say what monument at first sightings …but I do say what love..!!….. Apart from that Agra has the Agra Fort,…the forst from where shahjahan looked at the lovely Taj and remembered his pretty wife….it still stands tall….and yes…the Agra Petha….very sweet and delicious….Bought some of them from eagerly selling boys…and yup….the flavours have never ever left.
