What is Acrobat and PDF?
Adobe Acrobat lets you create a document or image, “freeze” it as PDF file, and then distribute that PDF file as a frozen copy of your document. Others can view your document or image on any computer, with your layout and colors. Best of all, they can’t change the content. It’s a great way to distribute documents and preserve your layout. Why Can’t I Copy Text from PDFs? In the first few versions of PDF, this was true. Adobe did not want people to copy a text, so you couldn’t copy. In version 3.x and 4.x, this changed.
