What is a “Whitelist”?
Whitelist is the list of those ‘privileged’ numbers which can call you up. The rest of the world will not be able to reach to you on your Vodafone mobile phone. Once you have activated the Call Filter service, the IVR will ask you enter phone numbers that you wish to add to your Whitelist. For mobile numbers, enter the ten digits and for landline numbers, enter the STD code (beginning with zero) with the PSTN number. You can define as many numbers as you want. Once you have defined the white list, the IVR plays your default announcement which your non-Whitelist caller will hear when he/she calls you up IMPORTANT: Please note that Blacklist and Whitelist are mutually exclusive services and at no point of time, you can have both services active. You can define both the lists in the IVR but only one of them will be active at any given point of time.
“Whitelist” – To place a name, e-mail address, Web site address, or program on a list of items that are deemed spam- or virus-free. Many pop-up blockers support the ability to add Web sites to a list of known or trusted sites. When you visit these sites the pop-up blocker will permit pop-ups.
